Collecting for ISPCC

Collecting for ISPCC

Two weeks before the Christmas Holidays we got to go into to town and help collect for ISPCC. We arrived at the place at 10:30 am and he were given yellow bibs with ISPCC written on them so they would know who we are collecting for. we were told to line up in twos and we received our box each a map and the place we were to stand to collect.

Me and Sarah were given a box each a map and told to stand outside Central Bank. We found Bank of Ireland and presumed that it had to be the Central bank! we stood outside there for three hours. it was very long and tiring. It was very annoying when people just walked pasted.

By the end it made me think the next time i pass someone collecting to give them some money. Overall we had a good day and we did our good deed.

We got off at 1:30pm and were given and hour for lunch before we had to go back on the bus to go home.

Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins

We went to see Mary Poppins in the Bord Gais Theater before Christmas. We left the school at 9:00 am and got on the bus and headed into town. Ms. Gilsnen, her two daughters  and Ms. O'Reilly came with us on the trip. We got into to town got our tickets and we were allowed and hour to go off for lunch.

The show started at 2pm. The show was amazing. All the singing and the dancing and we had a great seat sitting in the middle. To end it all off Mary Poppins flew out into the audience.

On the way back we got to see all the Christmas lights going through town.

French Pen Pals

French Pen pals

Our french pen pals received our first letter from us before Christmas. They were handed out to one girl or to share between two girls. When we came back after Christmas we got their replies. My two pen pal names are Manon and Amadine. They told me about themselves and their families. Every week or two weeks we will receive a letter from them and we will reply back.

We have to send a paper doll with our face on it. The competition is to take a picture with your pen pals doll at famous land marks in either France or Ireland.
